₹Pay Commission Calculator

About this website

A free, independent calculator that helps Central Government employees, teachers and pensioners understand their pay under the 7th Pay Commission and what the 8th Pay Commission could mean for them.

What you can do here

Who runs it

Pay Commission Calculator is run by NE Media, the name under which an individual based in India operates this website. It is a personal project, not a company, and it is not connected to the Government of India, any Ministry, any Pay Commission or any employee association.

How the numbers are worked out

The calculator follows the rules published for the 7th Central Pay Commission: the Pay Matrix, Dearness Allowance announced every six months, House Rent Allowance by city class, and transport allowance slabs. Income tax uses the slab rates from the Union Budget. The method behind each figure is explained on the calculator page and in the guides, and every official source is listed on the Sources page.

The 8th Pay Commission has been set up but has not submitted its report, so every 8th CPC figure on this site is a projection based on assumptions you can change, such as the fitment factor and the date it takes effect.

Accuracy and updates

Rates are reviewed when the Government announces changes, such as a new DA instalment or Budget tax changes. Even so, figures can contain errors or fall out of date. Always confirm your pay with your office, your Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) or official Government orders. If you spot a mistake, please let us know.

Your privacy

The calculator does not ask for your name, contact details, PAN, Aadhaar or any other personal details. Everything you enter is worked out in your own browser and is not sent anywhere. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for details.
